The beach in Menemsha is a great place to take pictures of sunsets. In fact, on a clear, summer afternoon, many folks will gather in Menemsha to hang out on the beach and enjoy watching the sun sink into the ocean.

Menemsha is a good spot for viewing beautiful sunsets because it faces West and Northwest and, being on the island of Martha's Vineyard, the view consists of the open ocean, with the occasional sailboat adding more beauty. There's a nice beach where you can setup camp for a few hours. Many folks bring chairs, blankets, and coolers of food and drinks.

TIP: There is limited parking in Menemsha and it fills up quickly. If you arrive after 4:00 you may have difficulty finding parking
