There are many wonderful Martha's Vineyard rentals. In your search for the perfect one for you, you will likely consider:
1) the price range you'd like to stay in
2) the # of bedrooms and size of the living areas
3) the proximity to services and attractions
4) the proximity to the ferry or airport
5) if smoking or pets are allowed
6) what security deposit is expected
7) if the rental offers air conditioning
Most folks have some sort of budget and rentals on the island can range from less than $1,000/week to more than $10,000/week depending upon the season and characteristics of the rental. Of course, the number of bedrooms and baths is usually closely tied to the price with larger rentals costing more.
Some of the services and attractions you might consider having nearby include the beaches, restaurants, shopping, and the supermarket.
You may want to know if smoking or pets are allowed if you have a need for those. It could also be useful information if you do not smoke or have pets but have allergies or are concerned about possible odors or wear and tear in the rental. Most of the Martha's Vineyard rentals are wonderful but some folks are hyper-sensitive to conditions that may be caused by smoking or pets.
The weather on the Vineyard is generally such that air conditioning is not required. The evenings in particular are usually much cooler so it is comfortable for sleeping. However, you may wish to inquire about air conditioning.
