The Beach Plum Inn

The Beach Plum Inn is located "up-island" which is the local way of referring to the more quiet and remote part of Martha's Vineyard. It's in Menemsha and offers 5 rooms in a main house, 6 rooms in garden cottages, 29 rooms at the adjoining Menemsha Inn and spectacular sweeping views of the landscape and ocean.

Additional amenities include: a great family beach, tennis and fitness areas, wooded path to Menemsha Beach & Harbor, top notch striper fishing and tremendous dining.

One of my favorite "secrets" about Martha's Vineyard is the starfish in Menemsha Harbor. Our kids loved wadding in a sheltered area near the boat docks and finding 3-5 live starfish apiece. This is in walking distance from The Beach Plum Inn.

Mad Max Sailing

Mad Max is a top notch catamaran featuring a 60 ft by 25 ft deck and a 70 ft mast. It offers daily sails and is available for private charters for up to 49 people.

It's based in Edgartown and has cruises viewing the whaling homes in Edgartown Harbor, the beautiful shores of Chappaquiddick and the harbor and Gingerbread cottages of Oak Bluffs.
